There is a part of me that belongs to a land my feet may not have walked, but whose history and spirit live within me.
A land of rolling green hills, ancient stones, whispered legends, and generations of ancestors whose lives helped shape my own.
This broom is my tribute to my Irish heritage.
The deep green broomcorn honors the lush hills and valleys of Ireland, while the golden strands weave through it like threads of history, connecting the past to the present. The intricate Celtic knotwork speaks of the endless connections between generations, of lives intertwined, and of stories that continue long after those who lived them are gone.
But heritage is not made of beauty alone.
There are darker threads woven into every history. Times of suffering, struggle, injustice, and choices that cannot always be celebrated. To honor my ancestors does not mean I must glorify every part of their history. It means acknowledging the whole of it, the beautiful and the painful, the triumphs and the tragedies.
Because all of those threads have helped weave the tapestry of who I am.
I can carry pride without denying the pain. I can embrace the beauty without turning away from the shadows. And I can love the history that lives within me while recognizing that not every chapter was written with kindness.
Éire — Woven in My Bones is more than a broom of green and gold.
It is a tribute to those who came before me, to the stories I know and those I may never discover.
A reminder that our roots are not always perfect, but they are ours.
And every thread, light and dark, is part of the tapestry. 💚
