Hex Your Target Spell Song

The Hex Your Target Spell Song was created for targeted baneful work when you deliberately want to direct disruptive, uncomfortable, or harmful energy toward a specific person. Unlike a return-to-sender working, this isn't about sending somebody's energy back to them. You're choosing the target and choosing to perform the hex. The song itself is the spell, using the lyrics, intention, rhythm, and repetition to raise, focus, and direct that energy toward the person you have selected.

This spell song can be used as a stand-alone working, or it can be incorporated into The Ritual Song Set. When using the full set, play it after “Energy Raised and Held” and before “Spellcasting.” Before beginning, clearly identify your intended target. The energy you've already raised can then be directed into the hex through the song before you continue with the remainder of the ritual.

You don't need a poppet, taglock, photograph, candles, pins, herbs, or any of the other tools commonly associated with hex work. You can identify your target in your mind, listen to the song, sing along if you'd like, and maintain your focus on that person throughout the working. If physical tools are already part of your practice, you can absolutely incorporate the song into your existing method as an additional layer.

These spell songs were created with accessibility in mind. They're especially useful for disabled witches, broom-closet witches, witches who can't safely use candles or smoke, witches who struggle with speaking or remembering incantations, or anyone who sometimes doesn't have the physical or mental energy for an elaborate ritual. Sometimes you've already decided you're going to hex somebody—you just don't want to sit there trying to figure out what the hell to say.

Use it through headphones, sing along, meditate with it, incorporate it into a larger baneful working, or use it entirely on its own. The song is the spell. Your intention identifies the target and gives the working its direction.
