Persephone’s devotion candle

Crafted as a tribute to the Queen of Spring and Sovereign of the Underworld, this Persephone Altar Devotional Candle is a rich, striking piece made from a full pound of red beeswax and measures approximately 4” x 4”. Deeply colored and intentionally dressed, this candle is designed to feel like an offering placed at the threshold between bloom and shadow.

Scented with rose and cedarwood essential oils, it carries a fragrance that feels both tender and grounded floral sweetness woven with ancient wood and earth. Ground throughout the wax are willow bark, jasmine, and rose petals, creating a candle that feels rooted in devotion, remembrance, beauty, and quiet power. Garnet chips have been added as symbolic seeds, calling to the story of the pomegranate and the sacred bond Persephone carries between worlds.

In myth, Persephone is far more than a maiden of spring she is the one who descends and returns, goddess of renewal, transformation, and the mysteries held in both light and dark. Daughter of Demeter, she is known for the tale of the pomegranate seeds, which bound her to the Underworld for part of each year and made her a living bridge between death and rebirth, winter and bloom. She is often honored as a goddess of sovereignty, cycles, inner strength, and the sacred power found in becoming.
